(Note added 14 January 2005: I read in MacWelt today that the British version of the iTunes Music Store is, in comparison with the other Stores in Europe, between 15-20% too expensive, at 79p per song. To put that in context, it is worth bearing in mind that 10 songs, costing around £7.90, is still approximately half the price it would cost to buy a new CD in any high-street store in Britain. The same report observed that even though 79p is some 20% higher than the rest of Europe, it is actually TWICE as expensive as the iTunes Music Store in Canada.)
